There is also a Hot Chocolate Sphere with Marshmallow option. Pour the matcha onto the White hot chocolate sphere and watch the magic happen, the white chocolate melted and turned into a matcha hot chocolate instantly with floating marshmallow. The dessert we went with was Matcha Maiden White Hot Chocolate Sphere with Marshmallow. If you are a sweet tooth like myself, dessert to finish off you meal is available with a collaboration of Sisko Chocolate. If clean eating is more your thing or if it isn’t your ‘cheat day’ healthy eating option is also available such as the refreshing poached chicken salad with beluga lentils, chickpeas, dukkah harrissa yoghurt, spinach leaf with kimchi popcorn. Just like the name of the burger it is a ‘Monster Burger’ with beef patty, double bacon, egg, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, cheese with barbeque sauce that matches well with the Birradamare Na’Bietta Rossa Italian craft beer. Burgers are currently the trend, and making a delicious burger is what Long Story Short currently has on the specials menu. I had the Watermelon, Pineapple, ginger and apple juice, was the perfect combination and very refreshing. If you are looking for something healthier, freshly squeezed juice & smoothies are also on the menu. Serving all day breakfast & lunch, you won’t need to even worry about missing out grabbing brunch food after 2pm! Speciality coffee is by Proud Mary, Organic Tea by Chamellia and the very unique collection of Sisko Chocolate is available.

The intensive menu will have something that catered for everyone. The menu is updated every three months to give customers variety and have something new to try. Australian great pour with a touch of Italian beauty. With a café that serves alcoholic beverages is a bonus, a boutique selection of wines and beers on rotating bases. The menu is described as a twist to an Australian menu with Asian influence. What excited me was walking in and seeing a cold drip station on display and in action. I have a big obsession with greenery, wooden tables and the appreciation for specialty coffee. What won me was the greenery of the café, with live plants! I had to go right up to the plants to check if they were real, with the amount of greenery comes with effort of keeping it alive indoors, it also gives the café so much more life. When I first visited Long Story Short café, my first impression was the spacious area with plenty of seating arrangements from communal tables to private dining section or tables for smaller groups. Only three months old, the café has so much to offer with food, coffee & alcoholic beverages. And of course, we enjoyed three different #mixnmatcha options all of which blew us away (see below).Just like the name of the café ‘Long Story Short’ the venture for the team started all in a three months period of seeking around the town for a café and to cut the long story short the team was invited to join forces to create the new venture. With a strong Italian influence in the Long Story Short family, there is also a carefully curated drinks list to pair with your long leisurely lunch. While we drooled over their amazing breakfast/brunch menu, we opted for some delicious lunch options from the specials menu instead – a super refreshing and light calamari salad and a salmon dish that positively melted in our mouths. With a beautifully sleek open space made homely with gorgeous greenery and the bubbly warmth of owners Dario and Rino, we weren’t surprised to hear this three month old treasure is already booming. We love popping in to visit members of our wonderful #mixnmatcha family and this weekend we had the pleasure of lunching at new kid on the block, Long Story Short Cafe.
